David Raskino invited you to the private preview of the latest experiment from FUSE Labs in Microsoft Research. (pronounced "social") combines search and social networking for the purpose of learning.

We are now opening to people we <heart>, so thanks for all your support and feel free to publically tweet, blog and say nice things ;-). Read more info here.

  • helps you create rich posts by assembling montages of visual web content.
  • helps students browse the web and share with friends, making the whole web a learning environment.
  • provides rich media sharing and real time sharing of videos via "video parties" to encourage interaction and collaboration.
We are partnering with selected schools (including University of Washington, Syracuse University, and New York University) to better understand how can be used with students who have grown up with social software, study information science, and design communication tools. We expect students to continue using their everyday social networks and search engines, and we hope to encourage students to reimagine how our everyday communication and learning tools can be improved, by researching, learning and sharing in their everyday lives.

More info at or send us feedback here.

Thank you! And please check it out and be!
